The true value of this case lies in the build experience, the internal layout, and its cooling performance, if it hit that $150 sweet spot, the H710i would be an absolute no-brainer for any PC enthusiast looking for a quality case and a solid price. Going forward, we’d love to see the next step in this evolution feature a variant of the case with that mesh cutout in the top panel we mentioned earlier, and perhaps one lacking the fan controller and integrated LED strips to bring the price down. It’s not perfect, but for a mid-tower chassis at this price point, it exudes that premium feel throughout, and performs just as well. NZXT H7 Flow review (Image credit: Tom's. Our recommendations factor in cooling and noise, and many sell for less than 100 (100, 150 AU). ![]() Ultimately, the H710i is a pleasure to build in, looks great, and compared to its predecessor the H700i, packs in some nifty little features that really separate it out from the rest of the premium ATX tower pack and land it at place, at publication time, on our list of best pc cases. Here are the best cases for custom PC builds. As with sufficient static pressure oriented fans situated in the front, we have little concern that this case couldn’t draw in enough cool air, but pushing that hot air out of the top of the case is clearly far more difficult, and may explain why NZXT favored not including a top mounted dust filter. We’d love to see a variant of the NZXT H710i with perhaps a mesh panel cut out of the top, to allow for better exhaust there. You want the same amount of air going into and moving out of the case. I know theyre not known for the best airflow but my current setup is doing. You still want cross-airflow, so positive pressure in the rear will push the hot air out of the system. NZXTs H500 is a case that wasnt top-of-the-line in thermal performance but. It’s available in four different color combinations (see above) and offers a compact 36L interior that’s ideal for first-time builders after a moderate chassis size. The H400i is a premium micro-ATX case with a smart and beautiful design. Buying a second fan to do this will help a lot. Colors: Black/ Red, Black/ White, Black/ Blue, and Black. ![]() With both the CPU and the GPU sat at 69 celsius in contrast to our other two test cases, there’s clearly a tangible difference when mounting the AIO in this configuration.Ĭompared to the stock airflow setup however, you still gain a net savings of six degrees overall by taking advantage of that 240mm AIO as an exhaust, with the GPU benefitting most dramatically out of the two components. Negative pressure means that the air outside the case needs to be sucked in (from the front) to cool components. Similarly, a case where there is little or no space for exhaust will create a positive air pressure resulting in inefficient cooling. As we move over to our Optimal test setup, featuring a 240mm AIO acting as a top mounted exhaust, this is where we begin to see the limitations of those front fans and the solid roof panel stifling exhausting airflow. A case with poor intake will not be able to cool its components properly due to negative air pressure. As components generate a lot of heat while gaming, it’s better to use a case that has a good airflow including the intake and exhaust. Why there is criticism?Īlthough NZXT has been very successful in selling its cases still some people criticize them for their design for airflow. While H200 are ITX cases, the H500 and H700 are mid-towers with H700 cases as being the top-tier ones. ![]() It has ample support for water cooling, excellent. There are right now 3 different series of cases that are H200, H500 and H700 which include a total of 16 mid-tower cases. The NZXT H9 Flow is a premium mid-tower chassis from a reputable brand that offers a unique take on the traditional PC case design. The current catalogue of NZXT has variety of mid-tower chassis that are 80-90% identical to each other except for some minor changes such as ventilation from the front, RGB lighting, and sizes. Most of the chassis right now from NZXT are similar to the NZXT S340 which was my favourite cases in 2017 and still holds a great value in PC builder community. ![]() If I am not mistaken NZXT was the first one to design the chassis with full-length PSU shrouds without any hard drive bays visible inside.
